Music Together® is an innovative music and movement program for children newborn to 5 years and the grown-ups that love them. The program brings families together by providing a rich musical environment in the classroom and by encouraging family participation in spontaneous musical activity outside of class. We nurture your children's natural enthusiasm for music, movement and make-believe as we sing, dance, chant, and play instruments in an informal setting that will enrich their musical environment and guide them towards a lifetime of music-making enjoyment. Classes are 45 minutes and meet weekly for 10 weeks (6 weeks during Summer Sessions). Each session includes a different music collection and each family gets to enjoy an illustrated songbook and two CDs. Kindermusik for the Young Child is a program that uses a small-group approach to music education and provides a pressure-free class where your child, age 5 -7 years, can develop a strong musical foundation by learning the concepts, language, notation, and vocabulary of music and its greatest composers. The program is designed to prepare the young child who is eager for first experiences with musical symbols and instrument discovery but is not yet ready for formal lessons and traditional music reading with an instrument. Parents or caregivers are encouraged to attend the last 10-15 minutes of class. A typical class includes singing and vocal development, movement, reading and writing, focused listening, and exploring and playing musical instruments. Classes are 60-70 minutes and meet weekly for 15 weeks. Each session includes a set of at-home materials, including folder with stickers, family songbook, instrument, CD, and games bag. New families receive a canvas bag.
ChicosChicas is Spanish fun for little ones! Raise a bilingual baby while enjoying children's stories, music, and play en español. Introduce or reinforce the Spanish language with your children (up to 3 years old) during an important developmental period. You don't need to know Spanish to enjoy this program. We have families from both Spanish-speaking and non-Spanish speaking backgrounds. For adults that don't speak Spanish, you can learn the language along with your child. When you join, you get a CD from beloved children's recording artist Jose-Luis Orozco. Fun and repetition from our native Spanish-speaking instructors reinforce understanding of colors, numbers, shapes, animals, parts of the body and so much more!
